Lobitos Field, Offshore Talara, Peru |
| Cliente Cescor |
PetroTech Peruana |
| Descrizione del progetto |
Lobitos Field, offshore Talara consists of several platform launched in sixties and seventies in a water depth ranging from 30 m up to 150 m.
In many platforms the original CP system was terminated and retrofitting was needed. After several evaluations and cost comparisons, impressed current was preferred.
Four platforms, PN-1, TT, LL and OO were retrofitted using tensioned anode strings and MMO-Ti (LIDA) anodes.
The following activities were carried out by Cescor:
preliminary site survey;
detail design of the CP systems;
material procurement;
supervision during installation;
testing and start-up. |

North-Eastern Caspian Sea (Atyrau) - Kazakhstan |
| Cliente Cescor |
Saipem SPA |
| Descrizione del progetto |
Agip KCO is developing the Kashagan East Field, located in the North Caspian Sea offshore Kazakhstan, approximately 80 Km south of the town of Atyrau. The development comprises a combination of both offshore and onshore facilities.
The offshore production facilities will be tied back to onshore processing and storage facilities by the following pipelines:
Oil trunkline 28";
Gas trunkline 28"
Fuel gas trunkline 18".
The total length of the pipelines is about 110 Km. The scope of the Project was the design of the CP system of the pipelines. The onshore section, protected with a temporary Mg anodes CP system and then with a permanent ICCP system, will be separated with an insulating joint from the offshore section, protected with bracelet anodes.
The choice of the position of the insulating joint was the result of the study of the impact of the environmental variables (such as the water level variation) on the CP system. |
